Research
The department’s research focus is expressed in our research projects as well as in the topics for dissertation, bachelor and master theses. Current focal points are:
- Further development of landscape planning instruments in terms of content and methodology,
- Current and future development of landscapes, i. a. in the context of climate change, energy system transformation and societal changes
- Impacts of climate change on biodiversity, nature conservation and planning
- Relevance of digitization for nature conservation and landscape/environmental planning
- Relevance of sufficiency strategies for nature conservation, including the effects of everyday behavourial patterns on landscapes
- Landscapes as objects of reflection of unsustainable lifestyles
- Importance of urban green for human health and ecosystem services
- Management quality of national parks
